At this point, just try and see if you can play before continuing. You won’t be surprised if I say that VK.com is the largest social network in Russia. After that, I'm not entirely sure if steps 6 and 7 are necessary but I already did these steps before hand while trying different "fixes", and they worked out fine for me. If you are searching for someone from Russia or maybe any other part of the world with a profile on VK.com, FindFace (Face Search by VK.com) is the facial recognition search engine you need.(Service Name doesn't matter at all, but I recommend naming it 2 or UDP to keep track of it.) Fill in everything else with the same exact information as the TCP port you forwarded previously. This time make the Service Type TCP/UDP again if you can, but otherwise choose UDP. If you need to fill in an end port, also make that value 28960. If you can't, only pick TCP and make the start port 28960. If you can, choose TCP/UDP for Service Type.I am going to assume you have port forwarded something on your own in the past or at least now how. I then began filling out the page with information.Anyways, I entered my router's gateway IP into the URL bar in my browser and went to the "Port Forwarding" section. If that is the situation for you, I recommend all players follow steps 6 and 7 despite what step 5 says. This also raises the question of how stable 2 LAN players connecting to 2 separate LAN players on a separate network functions, and to that, I have no idea. I also recommend that one of the players who share a router be the host of the game, as I do not know the stability of two LAN players connecting to the same host that is not on their network.

If all players are on the same network and you are not trying to play with anyone else on separate internet connection, WaW has the native function to just play LAN games without any hassle. You can talk and send files with all your friends inside a local area network such of an office, home or internet cafe without a server. My guide skips all of the "obvious steps" if you have port forwarded in the past.īefore really getting into it, this guide only applies to people attempting to play with 2 or more players on a single router, but also have 1 or more players on a different router all trying to connect to a single server.

Generally following the instructions on this site is the way to go: Sorry for the 4 year necro, but I found a solution that is not really mentioned anywhere.
